The economic crisis is like 8” of snow.
Here’s why.
Since I have moved to Minnesota, I have been reminded every winter of this one truism — Snow beats Karimi. It’s like a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors. Bam! Snow! I think I can schedule a meeting around it; go out to work in it. No! Snow wins.
You cannot drive the same, live the same. When snow falls, you must obey its rules. If you try and think you are driving in Los Angeles at 80 degrees, then you will pay.
Snow, as a friend tells me, reminds us to slow down. Slow down, Robert. Slow down, even when I don’t want to.
This economic downturn is snow. It’s a fast storm of snow, and there are people out there that still want to drive around like it’s a sunny day. Economic downturns, like snow, remind us to slow down. Slow down, America. Slow down, even if you don’t want to.
The Republicans fear of socialism right now is equivalent to someone saying the sun still shines in winter; thus, we should observe the rules of Spring. Silly Elephants. We need to be conservative, but we also need to build and get ourselves to Spring.
Not sure if we need a bailout, but if someone doesn’t shovel the snow, and pay the heat, we will be locked up and frozen…thus dead before the snow thaws.
